The second day of this journey has me convinced that Coca-Cola I’ve been drinking has been having a strange effect on me. That effect is becoming thirstier. I focused today on mostly research and getting down a few lines of what the story might look like.
I decided to have five council members for this story, the predators would be foxes, and I drew out a rough image of what their civilization looks like. I decided I would include mentions of Louis Comte, John Henry Anderson, and Howard Thurston in the story to build the background. The references I used for research will be included below. I found a wonderful YouTube video discussing the history of the Hat-Trick as well and I encourage everyone to watch it. Although it does start with Mary Toft which is a strange choice, I think I could understand it.
I finalized what characters will be in the story. The main characters are the two rabbits and I would also like to incorporate a rabbit deity into the story. Ultimately, I decided against fleshing out these characters. The passage I wrote today in my notes are as follows:
Rabbits are in their 12th(???) year of their civilization. Their world is wild, free forests. The community built a little fortress that protected them from their enemies: foxes. While they were smaller in number, the foxes were fierce. To safely travel from one fortress to another the rabbits would use the forest as their cover, but because they were so vast in number…
I’m not sure if I’m missing a page or if this was where my notes ended, and I decided to work on a different portion instead. That is likely because I wanted to make sure I created my own timeline and when the portals between worlds would open. For day three I’m hoping to get at least half the draft done or at least the historical portion of it and name the human magician who will be a small character in the story.
I’m worried about whether I will have a full draft by the end of seven days.
