Today I made the most progress in writing, but I think I only feel that way because I managed to finish one story arc. The portion of the story following the title character, Parsley, is finished. It needs a lot of polishing, but I will be focused on the second story arc now. As long as I finish that, I can spend the tenth-day editing and editing as much as possible. Not bad for a day scheduled around zoom meetings. I was still also able to keep to the evening portion of the routine.
Here is an excerpt from today’s progress:
Todd planned to use Houdini for the hat trick because Parsley had never gotten used to being picked up. He was still not comfortable enough to leave Houdini’s side for too long. The size of humans and their world overwhelmed him. It made Parsley question everything he knew, but he had met other rabbits and they seemed to be happy.
Todd took Houdini and Parsley on a play date with Snowball, Houdini’s brother. Snowball had a family of his own and they all lived with Todd’s neighbor, Kala. Snowball’s name was one Baguette, but Kala renamed him after he was adopted, and it became the name be preferred. Houdini told Snowball about their plan. The two were nearly identical and formed a giant ball of fur as they huddled together.
